After getting fired from Thames TV….
(The network claimed he wanted to retire, but they lied about it to save face. When the truth came out he was fired, his fans were shocked.)
…Benny went into a depression and started eating non-stop. Without the TV show to keep busy, he was eating non-stop and had gained around ten pounds when Don Taffner tried starting his show. Sadly, after already one heart attack, Hill passed away in his Southampton home on April 20, 1992. His body was discovered by Kirkland after neighbors heard Benny's television running non-stop for two days. He had to climb a ladder to enter Benny’s apartment.
It is believed Benny wanted to leave his millions to his TV family, but he neglected to sign the will. His original will left his money to his parents, but since they were deceased, it went to his surviving nieces and nephews.
