Bio[]

Mad About You was the opening number on March 29, 1973 performed by Lee Gibson with Benny Hill on various instruments. It was written and recorded in 1972 by Bruce Ruffin and released in the UK on Rhino and in the US on Bell. Initially a somewhat reggae-derived tune, it was reworked for "The Benny Hill Show." It is possibly the most popular of the musical acts in the series with Lee singing seductively and touching Benny intimately as he grows even even more nervous during her performance. The opening footage of this number opened the Benny Hill profile on "Biography" in 2001.

Lyrics[]

I can't get over this feeling deep inside...
I can't fight this feeling that I can't hide...
I never thought it could happen to me...
I always wanted to be free.
Now, I'm changing my mind...

I'm mad...
Mad about you...
I'm mad about you.
I'm mad about you.

I'm going out of my head over you...
I can't fight this feeling that I can't hide...
I never thought it could happen to me
I always wanted to be free
Now, I'm changing my mind...

I'm mad...
Mad about you...
I'm mad about you.
I'm mad about you.
Mad about you...

I'm mad about you.
I'm mad about you.
Mad about you...
And about you...

I never thought it could happen to me
I always wanted to be free
Now, I'm changing my mind...

I'm mad...
Mad about you...
I'm mad about you
I'm mad about you
Mad about you...

I'm mad about you
I'm mad..
Mad about you
