Bio[]
It's So Nice To Be Traveling is a song that was performed by Diana Darvey on March 12, 1975. The song was originally written for Frank Sinatra, and Diana's version changes some of the lyrics. In the show, she performs the song wearing a white evening dress, a pink French outfit and Far Eastern attire.
As performed by Darvey, this is a medley which contains three other songs, "Valentine" (previously recorded by Maurice Chevalier), "Climb Up the Wall" (recorded in the 1950s by Eydie Gorme) and "Y Viva Espana" (previously performed on the show in 1973 by Los Zafiros).

Lyrics[]
It's oh so nice to go traveling to Paris, London and Rome.
It's oh so nice to go traveling, but it's so much nicer, yes, it's so much nicer to come home.
It's very nice to just wander the camel road to Iraq.
It's oh so nice to just wander, but it's so much nicer, yes, it's oh so nice to wander back.
Climb up the garden wall, and we will spread a Persian rug
I'll serve you Turkish tea, and give your head a Persian hug
Climb up the wall, climb up the wall, climb up the wall
Por eso se oye este refrán
"Y viva España"
Y siempre la recordarán
"Y viva España"
La gente canta con ardor
"Y viva España"
La vida tiene otro sabor
España por favor
La vida tiene otro sabor
España por favor
Olé !
It's oh so nice to go traveling to Paris, London and Rome.
It's oh so nice to go traveling, but it's so much nicer,
Yes, but it's so much nicer to come home.
No more customs.
Burn those passports.
No more packing.
I'll stay at home with you.
