- Opening Quickies feature Jake Jardine serving some soup to the Preacher (Henry McGee) out of his dog's bowl, Richard Whatling scolded by Anna Dawson for biting his fingernails, a drunk (Bob Todd) telling the bartender (Jon Jon Keefe) that his wife is going to leave him if he doesn't stop drinking and Hill's Little Angels getting into Scuttle's Circus for free.
- "Walk like this" is an old Vaudeville act once popularized by the Three Stooges, most notably in the short, "From Nurse To Worst."
- "Holding Out for a Hero" is a 1984 song by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was featured in the soundtrack to the 1984 film "Footloose" and included in her 1986 album, "Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire."
- The second string of Quickies features Benny putting a jumper on his dog for a walk, Joanna Kirkland determining how old Richard Whatling is, a man (Benny Hill) rushing from his barber Henry McGee to his girlfriend's house because her husband is a fireman and a business man (Benny Hill) getting phone calls asking for Stinky Jones from Hill's Little Angels.
