Bio[]
Getting To Know You is a British-German education program given by an unnamed German professor (Benny Hill) with toussled hair from Herbert Strasser University on the "backside of Hamburg, Germany." His speech is centered on discussing the British way of life. Through his speech, he combines both German and English dialogue, making a script of his dialogue difficult if not impossible. A few highlights:
- Englishmen are fond of women with/from the two hemispheres
- "She is wearing an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weenie bikini. She is practically nakked"
- His heart is pounding so much his kidneys are screaming, "Stop dancing up there!"
- You must never assume because when you assume, you make an "ass" out of "you" and "me." (demonstrated on a chalkboard)
- Horse Carts (Horse Guards) Parade
- Cleopatra's Noodle (Needle)
- Law courts, "where due and honest justice is dispensed with"
- "If you park in Western London, they will give you a ticket. They should give you a bloody medal!"
- "After the meal they will give you an after dinner mint. You will need a mint to pay for the bill!"
- Inflation rant that turns into an Adolf Hitler speech
Trivia[]
- Herbert Strasser University is a pun on Herbertstraße (Herbertstrasse), an infamous street in the "red light" St. Pauli district of Hamburg, Germany (which explains Benny Hill's "situated as it is in the backside of Hamburg" remark).
