David Hamilton is an English actor and television personality, known for the films "Glamour," "Seaside Special" and "The Real Tony Blackburn." Not much is known about his life and career, he was born David Pilditch on September 10 1939 in Manchester, England, later taking his mother's maiden name when he became an actor. From the Early Sixties to July 28, 1968, he was a popular on-screen continuity announcer for ABC Weekend Television, a role he performed on "A Present for Dickie," "Two In a Clover," "Whodunnit?," "Love Thy Neighbor," "And Mother Makes Three," "The Benny Hill Show" and "Confessions of a Pop Performer" before becoming a disc jockey with the BBC from 1973 to 1987. He has since been a prolific television host and announcer.
