Daniel Jackson is an English-Guyanese actor whose career spanned much of the Sixties and the Seventies. he is probably best known for the movies, "Mysterious Island" and "A High Wind in Jamaica."
Born in 1925 in South Guyana, his first film appearances were in the movies "The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend," "My Six Convicts," "Bombay Waterfront" and "The Emperor Jones," later making appearances in the TV shows, "New Ramps for Old," "The BBC Sunday Night Theatre," "Dixon of Dock," "Green Boyd" and "Q.C." before appearing in "Mysterious Island" in 1961. He went on to star in the TV shows, "No Hiding Place," "Teletale," "It's Dark Outside," "Dr. Finlay's Casebook," "The Wednesday Play," "Z Cars" and "Escape." On October 14, 1970, he starred on "The Benny Hill Show" in three sketches, particularly the "British Arms" quickie, "World of Change" and as a crew member in the "Underworld Water of Jacques Custard." His later movie credits include "Bunny Lake Is Missing" and "The Mind of Mr. Soames." Not much else is known about his life and career.
